Happy Diwali

I want to wish all my friends a very very happy deepawali ......Many of my friends might not be knowing that this a very big festival in India. It is a festival of light. Just like Christmas we celebrate it for many days. This time diwali is on 28 th but 3 days prior to this there are many other ceremonies. This has a gr8 importance in India as it is related to our Gods...Especially it is said that if you pray sincerely to goddess Laxmi (Goddess of wealth ) then all your wishes come true. Every house is lighted by lights and candles.People visit each other and wish evey one with good wishes. It is very similar to christmas. So I wish you all - A very happy Diwali - And pray for good health, happiness, success, fame & wealth....from ritubalaastrology.com & astrofutureinsight.com

HAPPY DIWALI. Growing up this was always one of my favorite times of year. My Auntie and Uncle who lived next door would always bring a big tray of goodies and food. My favorite and you will have to excuse me if I spell this wrong was the pershade. It was a wonderful dessert made from cream of wheat cereal. I would give my left arm to have a recipe for it now so I could make some for my son. I can still taste it to this day. I will see if I can talk my dad into picking up some Pistachio Barfie.(Sorry for anything I have spelled wrong here) Blessings to yo this Diwali. HUGS

Ritu my sweet friend, I wish I was there with you too.:) Thank you so much for telling me about the parshad. I found some recipies for it the other day after writing this and tired one but it wasn't right so I will be sure to look for ones under that name. The one I made was okay but my Aunties was much richer and more smooth and tasty.:)
As for visiting don't you worry about a thing, you just be sure to enjoy your Diwali and may you receive all the blessings, wealth, luck and love that you so richly deserve. HAPPY DIWALI and HUGS
